MSI Wind U115 Hybrid – SSD and SATA HDD
The MSI Wind U115 Hybrid is using a hybrid combination of a SSD for the OS and a HDD for storage. Both of this storage devices can be used simultaneously. The 10-inch (1024 x 600 resolution) laptop primarily uses the SSD, reserving the HDD for storage, and boasts an “Eco Mode” button which will temporarily disconnect the HDD to save power.
The machine uses the new Intel Atom Z530 CPU running at 1.6GHz. The chipset is an Intel Poulsbo US15W.
The netbook is using up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, plus 8GB SSD / 80GB HDD, 16GB SSD / 120GB HDD, and 32GB SSD / 160GB HDD storage options, and a 2 megapixel webcam. A 802.11n Wi-Fi and a multicard reader are integrated as well.
This may make Windows Vista an option on the machine, it’s actually running Windows XP home.
It could be perfect for Windows 7!
